About us
Koivu ja Kuusi is a versatile wilderness center that has served as a training facility since 1961. We now operate as the Shelters Academy training center, providing facilities, accommodation and catering for courses, exercises and camps.
The center is located directly beside Liesjärvi National Park, on the lakeshore in Tammela. A forested estate of 8.5 hectares, two nearby national parks, and activities such as shooting ranges, forest exercise areas, and land and water trail routes are all within easy reach.
We serve groups of 10–100 people. Maximum accommodation capacity is 100 persons.

Classrooms, an auditorium and outdoor terrain for training and exercises. Suitable for weekend courses and longer camps alike.
Accommodation and Catering
Around 100 accommodation places and a professional kitchen with dining facilities for approx. 60 people. Everything under one roof.
Nature and Activities
The national park starts at the doorstep. Canoe routes, campfire shelters, hiking trails and a sauna by the lake. Shooting ranges 6–26 km away.
